Most of our blackberries are summer bearing, which carry one crop of berries on the over-wintering canes during the summer months. Plants begin fruiting in mid summer, and the season lasts approximately 3 - 4 weeks. The berries will have best flavor by allowing them to fully ripen.
This year we have added 2 everbearing varieties to our selection. These varieties allow blackberry production in regions where most other varieties have not been hardy. Fruiting will be late summer into fall. Because these are new variieties, we only recommend trial planting at this time.
Great for jams and desserts!
