SPACING

• 8”-12” between rows
• Minimum of 3’ between each plant
• Sunny, well drained location is best

IRRIGATION

• Irrigate as needed
• Drip irrigation works well

FERTILIZATION

• In spring, a light application of compost and bone meal
• pH: 6.5 – 7.0

WEED CONTROL

• It’s important to keep plants weed free, especially young plants
• A light mulch will aid in production, but is not required

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Two or more plants are recommended for best production
• Protect younger plants (1-3yrs) from the sun
• Older plants prefer sun, but grow fine in shade
• Plants require a pole, trellis or wall to climb
• Important to provide frost protection during blossom

It is best to plant immediately upon receipt.

If you are unable to plant immediately, refrigerate and plant as soon as possible. Do not add water. Keep in original packing to retain proper moisture.
