Shipping Information
Delivery Method
We use Federal Express for our standard shipping. For FEDEX shipments, a physical address must be provided. You must enter a physical address on the first address line, and if you choose, your PO Box on the 2nd address line. If your billing address is a PO Box, you may enter it in address line one on the billing screen.
Transit Time
Please refer to the FEDEX zone chart below, which estimates transit times from our Whately, MA facility to each state. Please note that after a certain shipping date, we upgrade all shipments to states in the 5-day transit area to 3DAY Shipping, in order that plants arrive in optimal condition. This will be reflected in the ship charges on your order summary, if applicable.

Shipments to Alaska & Hawaii
If your delivery address is in Alaska or Hawaii, your order will automatically be upgraded to 2DAY shipping. That is the only ship method available to these states. Charges will be reflected in your order summary.

Orders shipping to states with a 5-Day transit time from MA with a ship date of mid-April on will automatically be upgraded to 3DAY so that plants will arrive in optimal condition. (refer to FEDEX transit time map, above)
Orders shipping to states with a 4-Day transit time from MA with a ship date of late-April on will automatically be upgraded to 3DAY so that plants will arrive in optimal condition. (refer to FEDEX transit time map, above)
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I have my order ship?
This is a question many customers struggle with. We have done a few things to help you select an optimal ship date. You can refer to our zone map to see our recommended ship dates for your zone, or you can wait until you checkout, as we have designed it so only appropriate ship dates will be offered to you based on your delivery state.
Will my plants arrive in good condition?
We take every precaution to ensure that your order will arrive in superb, ready to plant condition. We store plants in a state of the art cooler at 28ยบ until they are ready to ship. Each bundle is then wrapped in moist paper and bagged in plastic, before being boxed to ship to you.
Can I track my order?
Yes, you can track your order once it has shipped from our facility. You will receive an email notification directly from FEDEX the day that your package ships. The message will include a tracking number that you can use to follow your package at the FEDEX website.
Do you ship outside the US?
We do not ship web orders outside the U.S. because plants are restricted by customs regulations and shipping requirements. If you are interested in having orders shipped to a foreign address, please call our office at 413-665-2658 and we will check the regulations specific to your country. (We do not ship home garden orders outside the U.S. at all; only commercial orders, and only when regulations permit).
