Dear friends,
What a thrill! I have waited a very long time to plant an asparagus patch in honor of my late grandfather, who grew delicious asparagus in the 1950s and 1960s. This year I finally had the chance to start, but it was already May and we live in the South.
I called you at Nourse Farms becuase you still had asparagus late in the season and because (unlike other major vendors) you list a phone number on your website. The young woman who answered the phone had ready answers to my questions about successful late planting and the right variety for my region and soil. How could I resist ordering?
Within a few days I opened a box that contained long, earth-scented roots, carefully banded and wrapped in tissue paper. It was a true joy to plant these sturdy crowns in my new raised bed, string a soaker hose on top of the soil, blanket the bed with mulch, and give them a long drink of water.
This sounds a bit silly, but like any expectant parent, I then started to worry. We had downpours, microbursts, busted trees all over town: would my plants rot? Then came searing heat: would my plants turn to dust? How could they possibly adapt?
But today, less than a week after planting, I spotted slender little asparagus spears poking up through the mulch. What an incredible sight. I can’t wait to get a taste of them, but I promise to wait till next year’s crop.
Thank you so much.

My raspberry plants arrived when they were promised. The plants were wonderful! We planted them on Memorial day. The instruction booklet indicted we shouldn’t expected growth for 4-6 weeks. It has been two weeks and all canes have leafed out and there is growth from the bottom as well. I will definitely order from you again and have told all my gardening friends about your wonderful nursery.

I just want to thank you for the excellent quality strawberry plants you supplied us. We heard of Nourse Farms from a friend who has been extremely satisfied with your products and service for years. This is our first experience with the everbearing strawberry as our area has traditionally been devoted to springbearing varieties and was once known as the Strawberry Belt. We naturally wanted the best for our first trial and we’ve never received or even seen plants of better quality, nor have we received the attentive, friendly service and support from any other supplier. You can certainly count on our business in the future and you will be recommended to our friends and neighbors.
Thanks again,

Dear Nourse Farms Folks,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for both your honesty and attention to detail. When you sent my strawberry plants last year, the order was short. I contacted you by e-mail and reported the discrepancy. You subsequently replied, apologizing for the oversight and stated that the additional plants would be sent Spring, 2007 in time for this year’s planting. Well, an entire year passed and I must admit I wrote it off as a lost cause. It’s hard for people to take responsibility for an error based entirely on an e-mail claim, and even harder to follow-up on the claim a year later…………...but apparently not impossible. When I arrived home from work this evening, there was the Nourse box lying on the porch where the postman left it. The correct number of plants to fill out last years order is in the box and all look healthy and happy. The plants aren’t the only ones that are happy!!! It restores my faith in mankind to know that there are still people like you in the world. A few strawberry plants are just that, but a friendly honest attitude towards customers is hard to come by these days and is much appreciated by at least one customer for life. Have a great season. I’ll be in touch from time to time. I think I see a spot where some blueberry bushes will flourish.
Sincerely,
Joe Rouse

Hi: Just received and planted order #115234 this afternoon. Could not ask for better quality and size of the plants. Wish I had more room in my yard. In my fifty+ years of purchasing plants from nurseries no one does it better. Keep up the good work. Sincerely,

The strawberry plants we received had the best root system of any I have ever ordered. If the strawberries are this good, we can’t wait to see what the blueberries look like!

Thank you very much. I was really impressed with the quality of plants I received. They were much better than other companies. I am experimenting with growing organic raspberries here in Oklahoma. Not a big raspberry producing state, but there is good demand. Hope to do business with you again next year.

Hi,
I am writing to thank you for the high quality plants. This year we planted 66 blueberry bushes, 36 raspberries, 12 rhubarbs and 500 strawberries. After two weeks in the ground every single plant is doing great. The blueberry plants were especially nice. They are already showing strong growth.
