Cawood Delight

This rhubarb variety is not as vigorous as MacDonald, but has deeper red color and slightly thicker stalks. Cawood Delight has a stout growth habit that will excel in northern areas. It may struggle in areas with long periods of high heat. We have had a lot of positive feedback on this variety from commercial growers and home gardeners.

bought 3 last year- only one came back this year--BUT_ it is vigorous-deep dark red and 8 stalks are about 2 feet tall. also got 3 Macdonald-one came back but is only about 6 inches tall and does not look good at all.

Purchased 3 root stock this June, planted in new raised bed & irrigated as needed right from the beginning. Disappointed that only one plant actually grew & produced some leaves. Not sure what happened, all within 15-20 inches of each other.
