One of our Top Ten Strawberry varieties!

I just planted 400 of these plants a week ago and all but 2 have put on leaves. I am rather impressed. I will be back next year to let you know how well they produced.

First of all I was beyond impressed with the size of the bare root plants! I ordered Darselects last season and within days they had green growth and quickly began flowering. I picked all of the flowers the first season so this year is their first time producing. These plants are my favorite variety as far as how sturdy the plants are. My other varieties seem to get chewed by rolly pollies and slugs yet the rows of darselects do not. Ive noticed their stems and runners are much thicker than the earliglow so perhaps thats why. The berries are also HUGE and soft, very juicy. These plants also seem to handle the extreme cold/heat very well. I will definitely be ordering more of this variety!

We purchased the Darselect's for planting in the spring 2018. They arrived well packed and in great condition. Since we have grown this variety for many years, we know of the resistance to rot from excessive water conditions and the outstanding flavor of the variety. They are our first choice in strawberries. At harvest, we pick around 300 quarts of berries each year from a 1000 crown planting.
