Rovada is a red currant with very large fruit on extremely long strigs. This combination produces a heavy crop that is easy to pick. The plant is very free of mildew and other leaf diseases. Its late flowering escapes frost.  Rovada's dependable nature makes it the #1 red currant around the world.

This is a heavy producer, but the berries taste like burnt chicken. So strange. I just learned currents are alternate hosts for the white pine blister, so I think I will remove them. Bummer...

I bought Rovada currant 3 years ago from Nourse and love it...very easy to take care of and year after year we are getting more fruits. Fruit tastes good and no pest problems. Good fruit to have.
