Mara des Bois Strawberry

Developed by a French breeding program, this everbearing variety produces small to medium fruit, containing the highest flavor and fragrance of any everbearer. Berries have an attractive red color with a high gloss. Planted in the spring, Mara des Bois will produce fruit during the summer into the fall. Mara des Bois is the top choice for fruiting strawberries in hanging baskets or containers. Though considered a lower-yielding specialty variety for home gardeners, growers find a captive market due to its fruit quality.
